Dear Families

Wow! What a way to end the week with our ABIS Talent Show. Well done to all of the students who performed. We really do have such a range of talent at school. It was another clear indication of how hard work pays off. If you were able to attend, I hope that you enjoyed the surprise act!

Thank you to those who were able to join the Grade 6 Transition meeting this week. It was lovely to meet with you all and continue to build our partnerships as you transition with your child to the secondary school next year. The transition from primary to secondary school gains added significance when considering the context of being an IB continuum school. As students move from the Primary Years Programme (PYP) to the Middle Years Programme (MYP), they encounter some changes, but will also see similarities. This transition is pivotal in fostering the IB learner profile attributes such as inquiry, reflection, and critical thinking, which are fundamental to the IB philosophy. It sets the stage for students to engage meaningfully with the rigorous curriculum and interdisciplinary learning of the MYP, preparing them for the challenges of the Diploma Programme (DP) and beyond. For those parents who were not able to attend, we will be offering the presentation virtually in Arabic on Monday from 5.00 – 6.00 pm. We will send the link out in an email.

Have a lovely weekend

Andy Cooper
