Dear Primary Families,

As we approach the end of Ramadan and look forward to the Eid holiday, it is a good opportunity to look ahead at what will be happening next week and in the weeks after the break.

Progress Reports

Next week we will issue the Progress Reports. These will include a comment from homeroom teachers as well as effort and attainment grades from all subjects. Please take the time to read these and speak with your child about them. Celebrate the progress made and also consider any suggestions and recommendations made that suggest areas for further development. If you have any questions about the report, please do contact your child’s homeroom teacher.

Student Led Conferences

These will be held on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th April. Sign-up sheets will be shared after the Eid holiday and you will have the opportunity to sign-up for a 30 minute time slot to visit your child’s homeroom learning area. During these conferences your child will take the lead and will share his or her learning with you, showing examples of work and activities completed in class. As well as time in the homeroom, you will have the chance to visit specialist learning areas, including Arabic, music, art, French, and PE.

Assemblies / Talent Show

Our next primary assemblies will be in May and we will look forward to celebrating the learning in Grades 3-6 on Thursday 2nd May and for KG1-Grade 2, on Thursday 16th May. On Thursday 9th May, we will look forward to the ABIS Talent Show and further details of this will be shared nearer the time.

After School Activities (ASAs)

The final season of ASAs will begin on Sunday 21st April. Sign-up sheets and details of available activities will be shared soon so that you may sign your child up for his or her chosen activity.

As always, thank you for your continued support. If you ever have any questions, please do let me know.

Wishing you all a wonderful Eid holiday when it begins next week!

Best regards,

Matthew
