Dear Parents,

One of the focal points within the PYP PE Scope and Sequence is the Adventure Challenge. This component of PE in the PYP curriculum, emphasizes physical activities and games that prioritize teamwork, cooperation, communication, and problem-solving over competition. Throughout this unit, students engage in collaborative group activities, requiring them to consistently demonstrate their ability to work effectively as a team. As they strategize and exchange ideas, conflicts may arise, providing valuable opportunities for students to practice effective communication and conflict resolution skills.

For upper Primary students the focus shifts to net games such as Badminton, Table Tennis, Pickleball, and Volleyball. Within these lessons, students have the opportunity to showcase their understanding of movement concepts, including effort, space, time, objects, and people, as they execute movement sequences. Additionally, they practice creative thinking by designing and problem-solving movement challenges.
