Dear ABIS Community Members,

G7 students embarked on a two-day journey to Jebel Shams during Oman Week, engaging in outdoor learning experiences like hiking, rock climbing, abseiling, orienteering, and more. The various activities demanded a fundamental level of fitness encompassing general strength and endurance. Additionally, these endeavours called for qualities such as grit, perseverance, and resilience. How do these activities connect to the aims of physical and health education? By encouraging students to reflect on their individual experiences, they can pinpoint their strengths and areas for improvement, and prepare themselves physically for similar challenges in the future.
