In order to celebrate women, the Student Council invites the school community to wear purple on Thursday, March 7th. International Women’s day, celebrated on March 8th, ‘is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality. IWD has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. IWD is not country, group or organization specific.’ The theme for 2024 is ‘Inspire inclusion’. 
Also, for their Service as Action, two of our Grade 10 students displayed around the school some informative posters to honor the life achievements of some inspiring Omani women.
