Dear Families

This week was Grade 8’s turn to plan and implement our monthly Secondary House Competition. They chose to play the very popular game, ‘Capture the flag’. It was very well organised and a perfect way to finish the week before our holiday. Congratulations to Yellow Desert Foxes who finished first, with Blue Dolphins second, Red Falcons and Green Leopards joint third.

I would like to thank all of our parents for attending the Parent Teacher Conferences this week. It is another excellent way for us to build partnerships and share in the students learning. I hope that they provided you with valuable information that will support your child in their learning journey.

We have a very busy week when we return after the holiday. I am extremely pleased that we have managed to rearrange all of our Oman Week Trips between the 3rd – 5th March;

Grade 7 will now be attending a ‘Mountain Discovery’ camp in Jebel Shams.

Grade 8 &10 will be attending a ‘Sailing Camp’ at Mussanah Resort.

Grade 9 will be attending Muscat, Wadi Hoqain and exploring our local environment.

On Tuesday 5th March, our ABIS Swim Team will be competing in the annual TAISM Swim Meet in Muscat. Good luck to our swimmers.

On Wednesday 6th March, we will have our Grade 9 Parent Information Evening from 6.00 – 7.00 pm. This is an important evening for all of our Grade 9 parents who will receive information about our Diploma Programme.

I wish everyone a happy holiday!

Andy Cooper
