Dear parents,
It has been an active week. Mr Fernando organised a basketball tournament in which our school and 3 others competed over 2 days. The results were very pleasing with our thanks to Mr Fernando, Mr Ferdi and Mr Michael for their work in training, and congratulations to the teams!
Mr Fernando reports the following:
The middle and high school girls’ basketball teams played their games on Monday night. Both teams faced challenging first games, especially the high school team, who won their elimination match by one point against the Indian School Sohar and went on to win the final against ABQ Sohar. The middle school girls’ team won their first game easily but lost in the final against the Indian School Sohar. On Tuesday night, the middle and high school boys’ played their games. The middle school team won a challenging first game against Indian School Sohar; in the finals, our middle school boys’ team showed exceptional skill and teamwork to win the final against ABQ Sohar. The high school boys’ team won a very physical first game against ABQ; despite starting well against the Indian School Sohar, the team from ISS effectively used their scoring opportunities, and in the end, the scoreboard ended in favour of the Indian School.
Today the KG1-G2 Assembly was held and the students delighted the audience with their performances! Congratulations to all the teachers and students who made this assembly a special time for everyone.
With the Winter Primary Concert and the Primary Musical coming up, we extend our warmest invitation to parents to attend what will be a wonderful celebration of our students abilities in music and performance.
