Dear Parents and Students,
Happy 53rd National day of Oman and Welcome to our week in review for week 13. Please see below some samples of students in National Dress.
This week has been another busy week. Please also see below for an overview of what we have been up to in Grade 6 🙂
Homework
Because this week is a short week, homework has been modified; however please continue with our homework programme. It is important that students are reading, writing and doing Maths practice on a daily basis. Thank you for supporting this and for sighting and signing this every week.
Reading, Writing and Inquiry
This week students have continued to read in their book clubs looking into themes within their books as well as power differentials in their books. This is leading up to a writing exercise coming up very soon where they will be required to write about the relationships within their books and justify their claims with evidence. Â
Mathematics
This week students have been reviewing their work on ratios, unit rates, fractions, decimals and percentages. An open book assessment is set for Sunday, students are encouraged to continue to revise leading into this.Â
Worth Repeating
A number of students came to school this week without their i pads or with uncharged i pads. Please ensure that these are charged and at the ready to use as learning tools, on a daily basis. Thank you.
Do remember to check out our photos from this week. (Please click the link below for this).
