This week, our focus remained on the fascinating world of rocks. We engaged the students in activities aimed at enhancing their vocabulary by encouraging them to describe the texture and appearance of rocks. They explored words such as dusty, shiny, heavy, light, smooth, rough, and more.
During these observations, the students made a discovery: rocks come in various shapes. This presented an opportunity to introduce the concept of 2D shapes. The students delved into calculations involving 2D shapes, documented their thoughts about them in their journals, and expressed their creativity by crafting art using 2D shapes.
We’re excited to share some photos of their engaging experiences below. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend ahead!
