Dear Primary Families,

This week in school, we had fun raising the profile of our four house teams: the Red Falcons, the Green Leopards, the Yellow Foxes, and the Blue Dolphins.

During PE lessons for Grades 3-6, we held an Inter-House Handball competition, which allowed all the participants to challenge themselves, involve themselves, and be their best. While it is always fun to win when playing sports and games, it is also important to recognize and understand that there is more to taking part than just winning. The competition gave students the opportunity to work on the learner-profile attributes of being balanced, caring, and principled.

Today, we had a special end to the week and enjoyed our House-Team Assembly and House-Team Picnic. The assembly was, as promised, loud, and we enjoyed each team sharing their cheers and chants. We look forward to these being shared again during our sports day in December. After the assembly, it was lovely to see so many parents joining us for the picnic. We value our sense of community and appreciate the support that was evident and on show this afternoon.

Next week, we have our 3-Way Conferences, and sign-up sheets have been shared for these. Please take the opportunity to meet and connect with your child’s teacher, as home support is a vital part of your child’s education.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

Best regards,

Matthew
