Dear KG1 Families,
This week, the children have started taking turns to become our greeter and line leader. We’ve also explored getting to know the name of each line leader/greeter. Each child then attempted to write their friend’s name and draw their picture. This week’s line leaders/greeters were Mahra, Sheikha, Bea, and Elias. Please visit Seesaw to see the post about your child’s experience on their special day.
Being a greeter at kindergarten helps children develop communication skills by exposing them to social interactions, expanding their vocabulary, and teaching politeness and manners. It also enhances their listening skills, understanding of nonverbal communication, and the ability to express emotions effectively. Additionally, this role fosters confidence, turn-taking, sharing, and empathy, all of which are crucial for well-rounded communication and social development.
Being a line leader is an important role as it helps teach children responsibility and leadership skills from a young age. It also promotes a sense of order and cooperation within the class, setting a positive example for their peers to follow.
Wishing you a lovely weekend.
Warm regards,
Ms Nicholson and Ms Buthania
