After writing reports, stepping into a few CIS accreditation meetings, and co-teaching G6, my mind is blank and I’m ready for a break. Enjoy the term break and please use the following link to find photographs from this week: G6 W9 in Pictures.

Literacy Summary

Please find almost all of what we learnt and taught this week through SeeSaw Activity posts.

Numeracy Summary

Please find almost a lot of what we learnt and taught from early this week through SeeSaw Activity posts. Later in the week, students extended ratios to unit rates, such as kilometers per hour or k/h. For a few more weeks during the second term, we’ll connect ratios to unit rates through fractions, decimals, and percentages through logic, reasoning, and basic operations.

UoI Summary

We took a step back into Exhibition: How We Organize Ourselves by ensuring that topics, groups, UN SDGs, and central ideas were in order. We’ll return back to Exhibition some time in November before devoting all of our time to Exhibition in December. Additionally, we wrapped up Who We Are by reflecting on learning over the past nine weeks. It was a reflection on identity or why we are the way we are before we take a well-deserved break.
