Dear Parents,

I hope this message finds you well. Another week has passed, and I am pleased to report that everything is running smoothly in our classrooms. Despite the lingering heat outside, our students continue to enjoy their outdoor playtime. To ensure their safety and comfort, please ensure your child wears or brings a hat to school. Please note that, during the first break, only children wearing hats will be allowed to play outside, while the second break will be held indoors.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Mr. Majid Abdullah Al Jabri who has generously donated eight semi-trailers filled with gravel for our back area. Today, these sizable trucks delivered this invaluable contribution, and the gravel is currently being spread to create a secure emergency assembly area for both students and staff. We are immensely grateful for Mr. Al Jabri’s substantial donation, which will enhance our school’s safety infrastructure significantly.

Unfortunately, we are still in the process of addressing the issue with the main swimming pool, which has experienced a sizeable leak. This undertaking involves labor-intensive and complex procedures. We extend our gratitude to Mr. Jorge Hidalgo and his colleagues at Sohar Operations Services for lending us their camera snake and technicians. The camera snake is inserted into the pipes to detect any breaks, and this meticulous work is ongoing. We anticipate having more information to share with you next week regarding the progress.

Lastly, I would like to remind you that next Thursday 21 September will be a student-free day as we will be conducting a professional learning day for our staff members. This day of training is important in equipping them with additional skills and knowledge, enabling them to excel both in the classroom and within our school community.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation, and have a wonderful weekend.

Dominic Robeau
