Dear KG1 Families,
This week, we have continued to integrate our ongoing unit with our culinary lessons. The featured recipe for this week centred around the preparation of “Nutella Sandwiches.” To begin the process, our young participants actively contributed to the development of a set of instructions for crafting these yummy sandwiches. To ensure comprehensive documentation, we employed two distinct presentation methods for recording these instructions. Subsequently, the children attempted to follow these guidelines making their own sandwiches.
Our chosen focus for vocabulary and emotions this week revolved around the word “excited,” as the prospect of creating these sandwiches filled all of us with genuine enthusiasm. Looking ahead to the upcoming week, we have planned to create fruit skewers, which will once again tie into our ongoing inquiry and provide an opportunity for exploring mathematical concepts, particularly in the realm of patterning, including AB patterns and random patterns.
