Dear KG1 Families,
This week, we kicked off our unit of inquiry with our cooking lesson. Children shared their thoughts and feelings about their “fairy bread” after tasting them. We began to talk about how we all express our feelings differently. Some put their thumbs up, some used their words, saying “nice,” “yummy,” etc., and some only smiled.
We also continued to emphasize the importance of being good listeners. Children are in the process of learning to display appropriate audience behavior.
Our cutting skills are another area of growth for us. We continued to practice these skills in order to strengthen our fine motor skills.
