Greetings from Mrs Nicholson and Ms Buthaina,
Welcome to KG1 and ABIS!
My name is Pinar Nicholson and I am thrilled to introduce myself as your child’s homeroom teacher for this academic year. I bring with me 23 years of teaching experience that I believe will contribute positively to your child’s learning journey. I will be working closely with my grade level classroom assistant, Ms. Buthaina, to ensure the most successful and enjoyable year possible. This is Ms Buthania’s eighth year and my third year at ABIS. We both are looking forward to the year ahead of us.
A little more about me… I am here in Suhar with my husband Glen, a.k.a Mr Nicholson (who is also a teacher at ABIS), and our two children. Thanks to the beautiful land, Omani people are generously sharing with us, I have become a huge fan of camping. My family and I go on camping trips whenever we get a chance. I am also an avid reader and love sharing my passion for reading with our littlest learners.
In our classroom, we will strive to create an environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and a love for learning. I believe that every child has unique strengths and areas for growth, and my goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where your child can develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
Communication is key to a successful partnership between home and school. I am committed to keeping you well-informed about your child’s progress, achievements, and any concerns that may arise throughout the year.
