On Sunday, Grade 3 enjoyed a fantastic trip to Sohar Port. We had a talk from Mr Jacob and went to the exhibition room to look at a model of the port and feel some of the materials that are imported and exported.
We then went to the control room with Mr Ahmed and saw the live map that shows the ships coming in and out of the port.
After that they gave us some lovely snacks which the students really enjoyed. We then went to the Steinweg building and had a tour with Mr Steve, where we learned about the rocks that are crushed and exported to Qatar.
The students saw lots of interesting things and connected to our unit on Trade. They asked relevant questions and we have had many good discussions this week. Thank you Mr Jacob, Mr Zekeriyya, Mr Ahmed and Mr Steve for a great trip!
