Dear KG2 Families,
We want to express our gratitude to all who joined us for our assembly today. It was a joy to see the children excitedly sharing their learning with their loved ones. Their enthusiasm and pride in showcasing their accomplishments made the event truly special. Thank you for your support and for being a part of this memorable experience for our little learners.
Last week, we have begun to implement a new daily activity in our classroom called DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) time. During this dedicated time, our little learners have the opportunity to engage in independent reading. It is a special moment where they can select a book of their choice and dive into the captivating world of stories.
DEAR time allows our students to develop their love for reading, explore different genres, and enhance their reading skills. By encouraging them to choose books that are a good fit for them, we aim to nurture their confidence and independence as readers.
During our independent reading time, our little learners have the chance to pick out books that are just right for them. The children enjoy looking through the books and choosing ones that interest them. They become more confident in picking books that match their reading level and feel excited to dive into the stories. It is wonderful to see their love for reading is growing as they explore different books during this special time.
Wishing you a lovely weekend.
Warm regards,
Mrs Nicholson and Ms Haifa
