- Reading, Writing and Inquiry: The students completed reflections on their field trip to Sohar Aluminium last week and on their learning for Semester 1 reports. Students
- Mathematics: Along with the daily math maintenance, students learnt ways to find a given fraction of a number. Students understood the elements of a line graph by inferring data based on the number of global migrants.
- Unit of Inquiry – Migration: The students unpacked the words ‘risk’, ‘challenges’ & ‘opportunities’. Students then read some personal stories of migrants and analysed the risks, challenges and opportunities migrants go through. Students learnt to recognize the push and pull factors and categorised them as social/economical/environmental/political factors.
- Notice: Trip to Nizwa (29-31 Jan, Sun – Tuesday). Students who are not attending the trip will need to come to school; they will work in Grade 5 classrooms.
