Week 17

Dear KG2 Families,

It is difficult to believe that we have just completed the second week of full day school. Children are doing great at adapting to the changes and having lots of fun when learning heaps.

So much is happening at school and we love sharing our little learners’ learning experiences and learning with you.

So what happened this week?

We continued to inquire into messages within stories. We read, listened to and watched various stories which delivered messages of conflict and conflict resolution. The children began to develop an understanding of the concept of conflict and strategies they could use to resolve them. The children came up with strategies they could use to resolve conflicts such as taking turns, making a deal, being kind and sharing. They also began to understand that listening to each other plays a huge part in conflict resolution.

In Mathematics, we continued to reinforce students’ understanding of number sense through number games and other learning engagements. In Literacy, we continued to learn new letters/sounds and focus on previous letters we learned.

We believe that pictures talk more than words. Please click here  to see some photos from our week.

We wish you a nice and restful weekend.

See you all on Sunday.

Warm regards,

Mrs.AlJabri & Ms.Fatma
