Dear Parents and Students,
It is hard to believe that we are ending our second week back after our December break. This week has been another fun, busy week.

Reading, Writing and Inquiry
Students have completed reading comprehension assessment and writing assessment (personal recount) as we prepare for our upcoming school reports. Reading of ‘A long walk to water’ has been really engaging and students are learning to appreciate the challenges and risks faced by migrants.
Mathematics
This week in Mathematics students worked to complete two math assessments – number knowledge assessment & problem solving assessment. They are also getting a hang of benchmark fractions and percentages by working on the math maintenance this week.
Homework
Homework is available to students from Sunday morning of each week and is collected for marking on Thursdays. It is your child’s responsibility (part of developing self management skills) to collect this on Sunday morning or failing that, the first time they are at school for the week. Please do check and sign this every week.
Thank you
