Dear Primary Families,
We’ve had a lovely start to 2023. Students and teachers came back energized and rested after the winter break. The weather has cooled down and it is a lovely time of year for students to play and learn outside. We will take advantage of the weather over the coming months and enjoy eating, playing and learning in the fresh air!
Please make note of next week’s Primary Coffee Morning, on Wednesday, Jan. 18. We will meet at 8am in LC1 in the Library Classroom and our Overview of the PYP at ABIS workshop will begin promptly at 8:15am. We look forward to seeing many of you that morning.
Teachers are busy during January completing assessments and preparing evidence of learning for the Semester One report cards. Due to this focus, our Primary Assemblies will begin again in February.
Next week our Round 3 After School Activities will begin. You have received sign up information prior to the holiday and again this week. If your child participates in ASAs, please ensure that pick up arrangements are made in advance.
I am excited about sharing the rest of the academic year with all of you. We have many special opportunities coming up, from our Swim Meet on Friday to our Community Potluck Dinner next Thursday evening. We are also preparing lots of exciting learning experiences for our students for Oman Week. Please continue to refer to the classroom teachers’ weekly communications for information specific to your child’s class and grade.
