Today, we had a guest speaker presenting to our DP students about managing the stresses and opportunities of the diploma program. Our guest was an IB student, who did exceptionally well and moved on to study at his university of choice. He gave each of the groups a few key take-aways that are worth reiterating.

  • Work effectively, not hard. Rather than spending hours kinda working on a task, find a time when you can be productive and focused.
  • Exercise and sleep are crucial
  • Perspective – is it 200 days until exams or only 200 days left until you are done with high school?

Help your child find an effective work program, encourage healthy habits like sleep and exercise, and when things get stressful find a positive perspective.
