Grade 7- Our new secondary students are catching up with new concepts very fast. Almost all of them can explain the scientific process with ease and are getting ready for more challenging practical work in secondary.
Grade 8- The grade 8 students are enthusiastic and inquiring. They are showing excellent research skills by coming up with interesting scientific facts outside what is being taught in class. We are just rounding up the unit on cell division which has been a very interesting unit for them.
Grade 9- We have been looking at human digestion and we have had a wonderful unit so far. We are about to assess their design and planning as well as their analysis and evaluation skills. They have been planning and designing experiments all week and they are expected to be in the lab to test for various nutrients in different food substances.
Grade 11- A solid foundation in cell biology is still being laid. Students are waking up to the reality of Diploma work and are getting on with biology smoothly.
Grade 12- We have been looking at unit 3 and understanding is commendable. They have shown good understanding of concepts so far and we will build on this in the coming weeks.
