During the week the students completed their electricity posters and presented them to the class. I took a video of them presenting the work. Today the students made the most of technology and inserted their work into their electronic portfolio, which is a Google Slide.
First, I shared a rubric with them as a Google Doc. They made a copy of the rubric renamed it and shared it back with me. Once they had completed the rubric they took a screen shot of it and cropped the picture. I had also shared with each student a photo of their poster and a copy of their presentation video. Once they had taken the screen shot of their rubric, they inserted the picture of their poster and the one of their rubric into their portfolio.
The final step was to link the video to the photo of their poster. Now if you look at a Grade 4KL portfolio, behind the title page for “Sharing the Planet” there will be a page which looks like this.
