Dear parents

This week was important as today was the final day of class for our Grade 12 students. From next Sunday until the exams begin on April 28, the students will be busy preparing and studying. Today is the culmination of a 12-year journey from Grade 1 to 12. During this time these students have grown, learned about the world around them, and become responsible, socially aware, global citizens. We are proud of them and what they have accomplished. I wish them all the best for the IB DP exams.

Next week is Book Week and students will have a variety of activities each day:

  • Sunday: Dress as a word
  • Monday: the whole school will read for 25 minutes after the morning break
  • Tuesday: Genre Hat Day – Your hat represents a book genre, for example, a hat with question marks on it represents mystery
  • Wednesday: Dress as a book character
  • Thursday: Primary – will find results from the favourite genre voting done all week
  •                  Secondary – will find out the results from the short story competition.

After-school activities begin again on Sunday, May 8. The sign-up sheet will be sent out shortly to all parents.

A reminder that Sunday 1 – Thursday 5 May is a non-teaching week.

Have a good weekend!

Dominic Robeau
