During our writers’ workshop in Grade 4 we have been focusing on the 6 + 1 traits of writing. We have talked about the author’s voice and also taking time to choose the best words for our writing. This week we investigated the + 1 trait of PRESENTATION.
The students worked in groups to read and make notes about electricity and its production. They then chose facts to add to a poster. They were given suggestions as to how to make their poster eye catching and easy to read, then they spent time putting them together. We are still finishing the work but it is great to see how carefully the students are working. I’m sure the posters will be really fantastic when they are done.
