One of my favorite parts of each day is when our class sings the National Anthem of Oman in the morning. The students sing boldly, and it is a lovely sight to see some with their hands up in a salute as they sing. We’ve been talking this week about respect – and standing all the way until the end of the anthem is one way to show respect to Oman. We will continue discussing respect for ourselves and others as we read books, solve problems, and manage our belongings.
This week we looked closer at the rock cycle, reviewed addition facts to 10 by learning a new game called “SHARK” Bump, made oil pastel drawings with blending, wrote about our Spring Break holiday, and started two science experiments: one about sediments and the other salt crystals. We can’t wait to see the results on Sunday!
