It’s been an amazing week in first grade! Thanks to our wonderful classroom assistants, the students made different Omani-themed arts and crafts for Oman Week. They had a wonderful time and looked forward to the special activities each day. We also continued our learning activities and research into how rocks tell us the story of our earth. We investigated the idea of change and watched how an ice cube changes outside in the heat – next week we will apply this idea to rocks!How do rocks change over time? The children especially loved being rock detectives and learning more about volcanoes and lava. In swimming, they were thrilled with having free choice swimming time, and today was probably their favorite day of the week: HAPPY QARANQASHO!
