This week we have continued our work on natural resources and persuasive writing, making connections between many areas of our learning. We are at the ‘Going Further’ stage of our inquiry, asking more questions to guide our research. The students have also been thinking about ways to present their knowledge and understanding and how to take action by raising awareness.

During Art, we started looking at the wonderful watercolors of Alan Reed, many of which were painted in Oman and the Middle East. The students will be creating their own watercolor paintings and have been given the task of taking photographs of interesting and beautiful places in Oman that they could paint.

On Sunday, we had some fun on the 100th day of Grade 3 by thinking about what we would be like when we are 100 years old.
We did a lot of laughing at everyone’s pictures of themselves but also had some serious discussions about how different our lives would be and how lucky we would be.
Have a fabulous long weekend everyone, don’t forget to take photos of wherever you go.
