In her graphic novel, Persepolis, Marjane Satrapi writes about a time in her childhood when her world was turned upside down by revolution.  This presented her with many challenges not only in the physical and emotional turmoil of the time, but also in how she saw and thought about the world.

To finish our study of this text, students were asked to write about an event (person, text, accident, or other element) that seriously challenged one of their beliefs and/or view of the world.
