This week Grade 4 looked at cause and effect in English. We worked with signal words like because, so, therefore, since, and for this reason. We then made sentences putting the cause at the beginning and the effect at the end, as in: It was raining so I got very wet. We also put the effect at the beginning and the cause at the end, as in: I got very wet because it was raining. We had a great time putting the sentences together.
