This week, our class discussions were about the organs we have inside our bodies. Firstly, the students were asked if they knew what is inside their bodies. Some children communicated their knowledge verbally, some drew pictures. The majority of the children named the heart and brain. They knew that they also have blood and bones in their bodies.
After this learning engagement, we have begun to inquire into our internal organs and how they help us.
This coming week we will dive deeper into the choices we make and the impacts they have on our health.
In order to encourage family involvement with our current unit, we are issuing a challenge to all of our KG families. ?????????Today your child is bringing home their Family Challenge Chart and we are asking our families to support their children’s learning by making good and balanced choices together. We have provided a variety of options in our chart. Please choose the ones that suit your family the best and color in/ mark the ones you have completed in order to track your progress. Have FUN!
From the Library: Recently the ABIS library has seen an influx of library books that are coming back after having been checked out up to 3 years ago! There are many books that are still missing from the library. Please take the time in the next few weeks, or during the upcoming winter break, to look through your bookshelves and children’s rooms for any ABIS library books. They may have ABIS stamps inside or out, an ABIS barcode on the back cover and/or a library spine label. We are working hard in the library to have all books marked consistently so that our users are able to locate the books they need as quickly as possible. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Wishing you a lovely restful holiday.????
See you all on Tuesday.
Warm regards,
Ms Nicholson and Ms Khadija
