Grade 9 completed their first unit on Travel by creating their own blogs or vlogs, using the appropriate techniques. They have just started the second unit in which they are investigating bias and propaganda. Students have defined these two words and have investigated the context of ‘Animal Farm,’ by George Orwell. We will be investigating how power may corrupt and destroy principles as well as identifying and analysing propaganda elements within the book. Next week we will be analysing the success of Old Major’s speech in Chapter 1 and considering the number of different techniques used. This will be a formative assessment.
