This week the K1 students are starting to explore emotions and how they can express themselves creatively using pictures and colours. They watched the story ‘The Colour Monster’ which they enjoyed, then in their language books they created a picture with an emotion of their choosing. The students then explained the story behind the drawing they had created.
In Art the K1’s continue to explore buildings and construction. They are still very busy painting cutting and sticking to make their own building designs. I think we have some great architects with wonderful ideas in the class. They work and plan together to come up with new ideas and designs.
In Maths the students have been exploring shapes and confirming colours. They have used a variety of tools and techniques to achieve their goals.
