This term Grade 4 has been focusing on geometric patterns in their art sessions. This week we learnt a little about the wonderful Dutch graphic artist Maurits Cornelius Escher. You may have seen his artworks, he was fascinated by the possibilities of tessellation.
The Grade 4 students learnt how to turn a regular tessellating shape, like a square, into a more detailed shape which would also tessellate. They had a fantastic time seeing what they could do.
