Grade 4 has been learning about parts of speech; specifically nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs. Amongst other things, we have noticed that adverbs usually end in ‘ly’ and that nouns can have ‘the’ or ‘a’ or ‘an’ before them. This week we looked at comparing two things and using comparative adjectives. This dog is happier than that one. This book is larger than that one.
We used pictures of different boys and dogs to write some sentences. We also took sentences like “I am taller than you” and found a person to stand next to so the sentence was correct.
