We have had a busy week in Grade 3.
The students have been interviewing each other in order to write a short biography about their classmates. They had to take simple questions and expand on them to find out interesting and detailed information.
For our STEAM session this week, the students were challenged to invent a maze out of straws and a plate. It was not as easy as it first seemed and many pairs had to make changes and some even had to start again. They used their Social Skills to collaborate well, Communications Skills to discuss their ideas, Thinking Skills to problem solve and Self Management Skills to persevere with the task. 4 out of 5 of the ATLs!!
In music Mr Mike started teaching the ukulele and one of the students has already learnt ‘Happy Birthday’ to play to his dad.
