This week the library has been hopping, with books coming in and out, a new Scholastic Book Order opening ( see more below) and students talking lots about reading. We are still working hard to organize and get the library up to date. There are quite a few overdue books in the system from last year, so please check your child’s backpack and/or ask them if they received an overdue book slip. Any books found at home can be sent in with students. If there are any questions or if you are unable to locate a book, please send Ms. Margot an email.
This week some of the primary classes read “Greta and the Giants” by Zoe Tucker and Joe Persico. This is a fictional story based on the true story of a very brave young lady activist named Greta Thurnberg. We talked about how real-life people and events can inspire fictional stories. We also talked about bravery and persistence.
