At ABIS we start all students on a new level of their musical journey in Grade 5 when they join either the band or the choir. This is an exciting moment as they begin to work towards public performances!
Being a band member means that students have to take the agency and practice their own instrument so that the whole band improves. To help with this process, students in the Grade 5 band completed a playing test this week. They performed a piece for Mr. McBirnie in order to show their developing skills and knowledge.
It was a wonderful time to hear students play and to hear the progress that they’ve been making due to their practicing! Make sure you ask them how they did!
