After an exceptionally hard year we have all had, especially the DP students, it was time for us loosen up and have some fun. Grades 11 and 12 combined forces to exchange gifts in the ‘white elephant’ fashion. For this, they each buy a present for someone in class. All the presents are kept on a table. Each student is given a number. The person with number 1 picks the first present. The second person can either pick another present, or (and this is where the claws come out) can steal the present from the first person. Each subsequent participant has the option to steal a present already opened. The most coveted item yesterday was a karaoke mike, which was stolen 3 times! It now rests in Kavya’s house and we are all waiting for a karaoke party invitation from her! It was great to see the students laugh and have fun. Have a fantastic break everyone!
