The English language is crazy! Kalmuheet, like an ocean… just when you think you know something it changes.

Grade 4 discovered this when they looked at the plural forms of nouns this week. One cat, two cats… that’s easy… so why can’t all words do that???

Well… Grade 4 discovered 4 of the different ways a word can be plural. Cat/cats; bush/bushes; child/children and fish/fish. First we paired the singular and plural nouns.

Then we put those pairs under the correct heading.

It’s a start. We’ll get there slowly!
