Can a picture of a chair be considered art? What if that picture is taken from a furniture catalogue? Can a prank be considered as an example of performance art? And what about graffiti? Does that have artistic value? If a famous graffiti artist such as Banksy (pictured: flower chucker) adorned the wall of your house, would you paint over it, keep it or sell it for large amounts of money?!

These are some of the philosophical and ethical questions with which G12 English Language Acquisition have been grappling this week. We have had some fascinating conversations and debates (it turns out that I am a mercenary when it comes to flogging off street art!) and all shared a little about what we consider to be beautiful. It has been fun.
