We are really getting into the swing of working together online. Here is a selection of the activities we have been working on this week.

Unit of Inquiry – Organising our Family Fun Night

We have been busily working with Ms Wendy’s class as all the students work together on organising their own ‘Family Fun Games Night.’ Students have been rotating through different focus groups with some working with Ms Fiona to create invitations, Ms Wendy to organise the food and Ms Celine on thinking up the fun activities. We hope when the students finally host their ‘Family Fun Games Night,’ they and you have lots of fun!!!

Writer’s Notebook

This week the students started working on creating entries in their Writer’s Notebook (WNB). This book is a place where they collect and keep ideas for when writing independently.

Maths – Calendars

In maths we have been making our own calendars for September and October. Students have been writing in important dates, to make sure we do not forget things that are coming up!!! There are a lot of birthdays in our class next month!

Science Report

In science the students have been doing an excellent job of conducting science experiments and then recording their findings in science reports. Our most recent experiment involved using our ant neighbours to help us investigate which food they preferred.
