Who am I? What’s important to me? What do I believe in?

Grade 11 students worked collaboratively to choose the theme of their first unit in French class and are currently exploring identities. They chose beliefs and values, health and well-being, and language and identity as the sub-themes for the unit.

To kick off the unit, students were asked to bring something to class that represents them and their cultures. Although from different backgrounds, both students shared an object that represents their religion.  Students discussed why they chose their object and why it is important to them.
