Why did John Williams, the composer of the music for the first few Harry Potter movies, choose the flute for this scene in The Prisoner of Azkaban? Questions like this – and many more like it! – are being carefully thought through by the Grade 10 music students. All this thinking is being focused by our Statement of Inquiry:
We are thinking about the identities of characters, feelings, motives and settings and how movie composers reflect these in the music they write.
