Hello again, ABIS families!

While waiting for permission to begin the school year, your teachers have been busy making Google Meet links, putting content into Google Classroom, updating unit plans in ManageBac, collaborating on new shared units, and creating expectations around online learning etiquette and norms. For those of us in Secondary, the MYP authorization process is very important and we are working to make sure that we have the best documented evidence of our work to share with the IB.

When classes begin, I plan to spend the first week checking in with students, both familiar faces and those who will be brand new at ABIS. We will take time to practice things like how to use breakout rooms for small group discussions, how to present and share our screens, how to write and draw collaboratively in Jamboard, and how to keep subject folders organized on Drive. Armed with these skills, we can be very successful in online teaching and learning.

I am going through art resources at home to get inspired and see what can be added to our existing units to make them richer and more fun!
