This week, Grade 7&8 English reached the climax of their class reader, ‘The Ruby in the Smoke.’ Our doughty heroine, Sally, had to face off against not one, but two horrible villains: Mrs Holland and the fiendish pirate Ah Ling! It was a remarkable turn of events, and we had fun discussing which of the antagonists won the prize for being the most evil!
