With all the challenges that we have faced this academic year, I want to thank you all for your ongoing support of the school. It has been wonderful for us to receive the messages of support that you have taken the time to share.

It is at this time we take a moment to let you know about the staff who are leaving and the new staff members who are coming to ABIS next year.

This year, we see Sarah and Eric Larsen, Elizabeth and John Mwita and Matthew Taylor all moving after being with ABIS for three years. Sarah and Eric heading back home to Canada. Elizabeth and John Mwite will be heading back to Turkey where they were teaching prior to ABIS. Matthew Taylor will be moving back to China, also where he has taught previously. A very special mention must be given to Michael Carberry who is leaving us after seven years at ABIS. As you all know, Michael has been a driving force behind our efforts to build our wonderful culture at ABIS. He is moving on to the United World College in Thailand.

It has been a pleasure and a privilege to work with each of these teachers and we would like to wish all of them the very, very best. We are incredibly grateful for their contributions to the school, their commitment to the success of our students and the energy and efforts invested over and above what was expected. Under the current circumstances, it’s going to be really difficult to appropriately express our gratitude to these dedicated educators but we know they would really appreciate any individual words of thanks that you wish to share.

We have been working hard all year to find wonderful teachers to join our team for next year and we are very happy to find a team of teachers that we believe will be wonderful additions. We have attached the new teacher’s profiles to this message and invite you to take a look! They are all incredibly excited about coming to Oman and joining our team
