Shortly the grade 9 class will be entering a review period.
The focus for this will be to develop skills that they will need in MYP5 and at Diploma level. This will also have an ATL focus of
Create plans to prepare for summative assessments &
Plan strategies and take action to achieve personal and academic goals.
They will be given a checklist for what they have covered for this year and also links to review questions so they can check their understanding.
As part of this review process one of the students has suggested entering a competition that is being run by Khan Academy. This is to make a 3 minute video tutorial on a math topic of their choice. One of the prizes being offered is a $250,000 scholarship fund. Also, if you have no objections, it is a opportunity to do something different, yet still focused, during this unique time.
